Okay, I'll say in advance that I'm embarrased to post this but what the heck, i'm among friends!!!

I'm a Kenny Chesney fan and saw him in concert recently and while I was looking at some recent pictures that were posted on this sight the song about the "Old Blue Chair" of his came on my ITunes and so I'm wondering... have any of you ever seen him while vacationing there or know any interesting tid bits of his living there? Just random thinking on my part, but I do love how he describes the feeling of being on St. John in that song and mentions Cinnamon Bay and it added so much to looking at the pictures! I think at least one of his albums was written in great part while he was there. Anyone know anything that will fuel my interest?

She's an English, ex VI islander.
Can be fun, in a pain in the a$$ way. Was wondering where she was.
Has fun insisting KC is gay. (If he is, so be it, doesn't mean he isn't sexy).

My daughter was right up at the stage for one of KC's concerts & his hat fell off. He bent down to all the girls so they could rub his bald head. He was laughing. In his last video he didn't have a hat on or any clothes for that matter LOL. Needs to give up the hat all the time! I had my picture taken with him backstage & I swear his waist was smaller than mine & I am a size 6. He was about 5"6' in his flip flops. Short, but not what I would call a mini man.

His concert venue has changed this past summer. He's alot more outspoken and not so shy. It's sort of fun to see this side of his performance side. Good for him for feeling more comfortable.

I'm curious what serious Kenny fans make of that strange thing with Renee?

Weary,
There have been many posts to this strange question, and on several threads. Apparently he didn't know how to be married and be on the road as much as he is. That is understandable.

I'm still in shock that STT Resident posted on this KC thread! 🙂

What's even stranger is how many people she has dated since her marriage to Kenny. I just heard who she's with the other day (can't remember who) and it struck me as pretty wierd.

I'll have to look into that.

A friend worked backstage during the Renee period. He did not have too many nice things to say about her. Very insecure.
Kenny fans never seemed too fond of Renee. Kenny seems to be a quiet guy who his fans would like to see him matched up with a nice noncelebrity. His previous long relationships ( he was engaged once) were not famous woman.

I agree with cocosmom, I think most of us think he would be happiest with someone like he is at heart. Not a celebrity type. But who are we to say what turns him on...I just hope he finds that someone special I think he is looking for, It must be so hard.

Actually, I thought his hobby was 2-Twenty year olds in each hand. That is a Sport in itself for Older men trying to be "Young".

Yeah, Celeste and what's the downside of that. Hell, most of us guys my age want that. Can't get it, but want it.

I heard this on the QT and don't want to mention any names. But a friend of mine said that STJ's lack of a B&D club was something that actually bothered them both. Could be a rumor, but on the other hand you never know these days.

I'm not really into Country music that much but Kenny is one of the few i have on it...(maybe cause of St. John) anyhow i am the biggest Dave Matthews fan, and when i found out that Kenny showed up at Dave's concert in Atlanta the night before i was so mad i wasn't there (being in Cleveland would make that difficult) but the night after Dave showed up at Kenny's concert and they played a few songs together. that would have been awesome!

Selling?? Sold??
Not a huge KC fan, but any ideas why he's unloading STJ property? Does he own more?

I believe that he has other properties but wanted to sell this one because everybody knew where he lived.

He has more property on STJ. I think the Peter Bay property did not remind him of happy times...

I'm a professional musician from Nashville who lived has on St. John for a few years until last May when I moved to St. Thomas. Here's the deal with Kenny. Kenny had a home here in Peter Bay but sold it and has a new one being built. He flies here on his private jet, takes a helicopter over to St, john and hangs out when he's not on tour. Kenny is pretty much left alone by everyone on St. John, he's just like a local here. His favorite place to hang out is a place in Cruz Bay called "WOODY'S". But remember, when Kenny is here he is here to RELAX!!! He will ALWAYS take a picture or sign an autograph, but if people start bugging him, Woody's will run you off FAST!!!

Kenny has attained such popularity through his touring that he really doesn't go anywhere anymore besides Woody's, or over to some close friends homes for the evening.

I've toured for many years with some pretty major acts and while the celebrity is fun, it's ALWAYS great to come back here to the islands and be able to kick back. Which is the very reason I, as well as others move here in the first place. The Virgin Islands are a world away from the politics of music row, record companies and pushy tour managers.

Hope this helps some.

Have a great day and......................come visit all of us sometime. We have a great time here just sitting around picking and writing at out of the way beach bars and drinking rum!!!!

BE BLESSED!!!!!

Actually, KC's place at upper Peter Bay on the hilltop didn't even have a house on it.
It just has a small shed and a platform deck. Doubt if he lived in there - unless he had other Peter Bay property.
