Good afternoon everyone. I was hoping to get a little assistance. We are planning a wedding for May 18th (a Monday) and will have our guests staying at Point Pleasant. We decided to get married on Lindquist and take our guests on a sunset tour on a catamaran for some festivities afterwards. We have transportation to/from Lindquist back to the hotel however our catamaran picks us up and drops us off at Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa. I am curious to see how far it is from Lindquist to SB. Is this walking distance for our wedding party (approximately 35 people). We can have our transportation guy "Chicago" Bruce pick us up at SB but didn't know if I needed to book transportation from Lindquist to SB.

Thanks in advance for your help!

There would not be a good walking route to get from Sugar Bay to Lindquist. It is not a problem with a distance, but a problem with the terrain.

It is exactly one half a mile - I measured it for a friend a few weeks ago - it is a flat walk on a very busy road with no sidewalks and many curves. Actually a walking group of 35 people would probably be enough of a spectacle to slow down traffic to a gawking crawl - I do see youth groups cleaning the bush and an occasional group march for various causes on that road in the early mornings sometimes. It would be hot !!- and I wouldn't want to be carrying anything but a water bottle and I am certainly not recommending it - book the transportation.

Book transportation from Lindquist to the Sugar Bay.....it's too dangerous to walk.....especially in a wedding gown!

As said by future islander although the distance is short the route can be tricky. Probably nothing would happen but you don't want to be the "ONE" who got hit. When you get to sugar bay as the front desk how then best way would be to get from one place to another. You might be able to hire to safari cabs to do more than just go to Linquest. Magen's, town etc.

Have a good time.

Oh but the way Linquest is very nice, better in the morning than at night.

My husband and I got married there May of 08 in the morning. The beach was clean and very secluded, just perfect. We did not have a wedding party so it was our wedding official (Stewart Scott), the photographer (Alain from Blue Glass) and the two of us.
I would not walk between the hotel and the beach, not much shoulder on the road.
Have fun.
