I see in the paper that lindqvist is open w/ security and life guards... i have not been there by land access in 10 years... but from what i remember the road was as poor as any and the parking was limited. also the access by foot forced you to walk in the water for a stretch. i guess my question is , is the road better? is there adequate parking? and is there a path cut to avoid having to walk through the water?

there is a security guard there and a few life guards. The road is very poor but there is parking and you can almost drive down to the beach. IT IS NOT MEGANS BAY YET! The VI government plans to put bath houses, food etc by the end of the year. Of course they said that they would open it last year also! I would not plan to say there after dark.

Go and enjoy the untouched beach while you can.

The roads were horrible, but challenging :o) We had no problem parking and I like how you can park in shade. There was no problem with walking down into the water and it's just a gorgeous beach. I'm sorry that's going to be so public. Just my husband and myself had it to ourselves for awhile and it beautiful.

p.s....still glad it's hard to find

We were there yesterday (Saturday).

There was a police officer there, but no life guards (none that we saw, anyway).

There were about 30 people on the beach. The road is still rough, but if you go slow a car can navigate the holes. Parking was O.K.

It's still a beautiful beach!
