Looking for any recommendations for restaurants or bars that would have live music, and what night(s) of the week do they have it? A place to chill out, have some cocktails, etc.
Would love to get some local favortites...
Freds on Wed. or Fri. is usually great.
The Beach Bar has a great jazz group - Steve Simon and the Islanders, on Sundays starting at 4. It usually turns into a jam session with other musicians joining in. Can't beat the music, food, and ocean view!
at the beach bar. As far as I'm concerned the best three hours of music on the island.

Are any of these places safe for a single woman after dark?
Thanks for the info. Has anyone heard of the female singer, I think she goes by T-Bird? Where does she play?

The Beach Bar is very safe for a single woman after dark. You shouldn't have any trouble at all. Try to go to the bathroom, though, before it gets dark. The bathroom isn't in the bar, and I think it's kind of scary because it's kind of a long walk from the bar near, I think, a parking lot.
