Does anyone know if Lizard's (Cruz Bay - old Duffy's) is open or closed? I saw that the lease was for sale, we met Liz last year on the island and hope she is doing well. I have read some bad things recently about the bar, but we had a great time there last year.
Last I heard it was closed. When we were there it was the only place on STJ that I felt uncomfortable
i agree it isn't too comfortable...esp a group of females. too bad..we've had mucho fun in the past yrs dancing up a storm...we always saved one night for the "love shack"...this year we didn't go near !! always nice to have a "spot" for dancing....i am the dancing queen....didn't say i was good but i'm too old to care anymore that i'm rthymically disabled !!!! LOL
I can say for sure that it is closed and has been for a few weeks now. They put it up for lease and then about a week later just shut down altogether. No talk about what might go in its spot. I think once the plaza is rebuilt it might re-open as something else, but as for a restuarant/bar/dance club I am not sure. it is a great location as far as quantity of traffic is concerned.
