Looking for a new carry-on bag and trying to figure what will roll down the aisle in coach on AA (or any airline, for that matter). I can't get a fix in my head about the actual width of the aisles on, say, a 757. I have a great small rolling duffel that rolls along great - it is only about 10.5" wide, though, and am looking for something that holds more. I'm hoping that 14" is not too big to roll without catching someone's elbow or arm rest. Anyone know??

Thanks!

I found this on the American UK web site (I couldn't find the same info on the US web site. Go figure...)

757 First Class and Business Class Aisle Width - 22.2"
757 Economy Class Aisle Width - 17.5"

14" should be no problem.

Think TINY. I got the smallest one that I could find that had wheels... and it was still a close fit.

Thanks Ron L!!! You are really in the home stretch for your STJ trip! have a wonderful time!!

28 more days for us to STX, then we are back for about 2 weeks and I'm off to STT with the Divas for a week. A very lucky year for me! We will probably be back to STJ in '08.

Thanks, again!! Now I have a good idea what will roll -
