So, unless we win lotto, Sol Inclination is out of the question this go around. It's between these three *Mayan Sky*, *Great Turtle Villa* and *White Cottage*. I love Mayan Sky for the house and the views. The views of Great Turtle look a bit more dramatic, but perhaps at a cost of furnishings. White Cottage is different in views and location, and the house seems very cool. I'd love some help in deciding between these three. Thanks so much!

Craig

Craig, I looked at all three of them and I like "Mayan Sky", mostly for the look of it inside.

Thanks, Connie. We seem to be torn between Mayan and Turtle. The inside of Mayan looks incredible, but the views from Great Turtle just look jaw dropping. That being said, I saw another forum visitor's post of some of his family photos from Mayan and the views look great. So tough to decide.

Which island???,I'm not familiar with those villas and want to look at them. I'm always looking for new villas.
Thanks, Carla

Carla,

All three are on St. John, but seem to be rather unknown to most people. Not sure if that's good or bad, but they seem fantastic.

Great Turtle Villa - http://www.kgrahamdesign.com/home.html That's its owner's page. It's also offered through VIVA

Mayan Sky - http://www.vivacations.com/viewproperty.aspx?PropertyID=2545

White Cottage - http://www.destinationstjohn.com/white_cottage.html

They all seem great. Can't decide on one though.

I vote Mayan Sky...I have stayed there twice, the 1st time for a month and the second time for 8 days on my honeymoon. Viva is a great company to rent from. Mayan sky is amazing, beautiful views, so, so ,so private. And smack in the middle of things, easy to hop on the road and go either way on the island....you really cannot pass that house up! Email me if you have questions, It's like my slice of heaven!

Craig, I looked at all the villas and my favorite is also Meredith's, Mayan Sky. Location is very important, if you don't mind the drive to Cruz Bay, the Coral Bay area is wonderful. Ya can't better information than someone that has stayed there more than once. Pretty good recommendation.

Joining the chorus in a different way, I am not impressed with the views of the Point Rendezvous villas on the east side of the ridge like White Cottage. The ridge usually blocks everything west even Ditleff Point. Many of the villas are low enough that the east side of Fish Bay blocks most of the easterly view including Ram's Head. So the main view is south and narrow-I'm underwhelmed, except by the rental costs being asked for those views.
If you are west of the ridge or up high enough (which White Cottage is not), then there are some excellent vistas.
