I'll be on St Thomas from January 8th-22nd, staying at Megan's Villa on the north side. Any other message board members around at the same time and want to meet up for a drink? I have a rental car, so can meet anywhere that's convenient to those meeting. Looking forward to returning...six days and counting!

Sounds like a good idea! Is there any place you haven't been to? I live here so I'm open. Prefer a happy hour time.

I'm not much of a bar hopper, but have been to Green House in CA because I was staying near there last time and they had pretty reasonable prices for apps and great for people watching. I'm on the North Side of the island this time. Since you live there, would prefer your choice of a good place for happy hour.

I've got another suggestion. I meet with a group of ladies for breakfast on Saturday mornings, so maybe you'd like to join us on Jan 15? I won't be there on Jan 8. I think from breakfast on the 15th, one of the ladies and I will be going to the Bordeaux/Rasta Agricultural Fair. We have frequent visitors, so you'll be very welcome.

Saturday morning breakfast on the 15th sounds like a good plan. Just let me know where and when. I'll be the one wearing the black tank top that says, "Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap"....my business' name!

Can you meet me in front of Gourmet Gallery at Havensight at 8:30 a..m.? The Ag fair is supposed to start at 10, but I think there's an unofficial early opening that my friend may want to go to. If so, we'll have to meet a little later. I'll confirm the week of, OK?

I know right where that is in Havensight. Sounds like a good plan, but I'll e-mail or call this week. Janet

It's a go as originally planned. The organizers were on the radio the other day, and there was no mention of a need to get there early, so we should be OK if we head out at 10:30 or so. My friend is driving. I plan to eat there, so I may not go back with them. They're all looking forward to meeting you.

Just getting a chance to check my e-mail now at Molly Mallones. Megan's Villa was supposed to have wifi access, but does not. Will see you at 8:30 on Saturday at Havensight.

Ok. I already told them you were coming. Are you going to the Ag Fair with us?

Kathy,
Thanks for letting me meet up with your breakfast club. It was nice to have a chance to chat with folks that live there. I have at least another few years of working here before I can make a transition to St Thomas! Home yesterday to twenty degrees and huge snow banks. What a difference!

Janet, this is KAREN. KATHY (CATHY) is the lady who so generously paid your entrance to the Rasta Ag Fair. She doesn't monitor any forums that I know of.

It was fun meeting you, and having someone new to converse with at breakfast. I like getting a tourist's perspective, and the others generally like having someone new to talk to. They all enjoyed your company.

The governor is giving his State of the Territory Address as I type this, so who knows what the VI will be like in a few years? It's a definite that many things will change, especially since the current governor can't run again. He's taking a very hard line now. But, there is a need for your services, but how to market it is the challenge. PM me when you get some time.

Karen,
Sorry for the mistaken identity! I will send you a PM as well. Another foot of snow fell on Thursday. You have a nice group of people in your breakfast club. Tell the group that they are not missing anything with all the snow here.
