I couldn't find anything on the TSA site other than airport phone numbers.

I travel with a head shaver in it's original box in my checked bag. I have been putting a mirror handed down from my late mother in this box for almost two years. It's a 1.5 inch diameter sterling silver mirror that was given to me over 30 years ago with my moms maiden name etched into it.
-
My mom, Diana, handed the mirror to me when I was 6 years old...just because I loved it so much. I have been putting this mirror in my shaver box, in a bubble wrap bag, every time I have traveled (average 20 times a year) for over 1.5 years now. It might seem a little foolish, but it's really ignorance, I wasn't worried about assholes at the airport stealing my property out of my bags until now.
-
There's absolutely no way I would have put this bubble wrap bag in my head shaver box without this mirror inside it. I would have immediately stopped and looked for the mirror before packing this bag in the box. Tonight I just opened the box at my destination, pulled out the equipment, the bubble wrap bag was still there, but the mirror is gone.
-
I have been ripped off by the people we are supposed to be able to trust when we travel.
-
Lesson learned. I will now travel with expensive equipment in my bags with GPS recovery capabilities.

Did you fly thru San Jaun? American Airlines in PR is notorious for "loosing" bags.
