Okay, I don't know about everyone else but i got back from STT and STJ a little over a month ago and miss it so much. i had been to mexico before and liked it, but the virgin islands were paradise. I miss the culture and laid back island style. I think about it all the time and want to move down there in a couple of years temporarily. Is anyone else suffering from Virgin Island Depression??? 🙁

It's a little cheaper out of Newark. $318 round trip. I think JFK is the same too. At this point I'll go by hot air balloon if I have to!!! My hammock is calling me. Can't wait to snooze on it under the palm trees.

It is nice to know that I am not alone. I went to St. John/Gallows Point last June and I think about it every day. I have my pictures posted all over the place. I can't wait to go back. I think I have my family talked into it. : )
I thought that maybe I was weird and the only one that was so obsessed. I have only been to Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas and also the Florida Keys many times, but I think St. John is the best.. I don't think I need to try another island.

I went to Turks last year. I thought Grace Bay Beach on Provo was absolutely gorgeous. But, it's not St. John. We got hooked on Gallows 2 years ago. Absolutely love the place. We Will be going back in 2 months and 9 days......not that I'm counting or anything.

I miss all the wonderful people that we have met there and all of our good friends that live there. See everyone next year.

I think about the Virgin Islands ALL the time. We went to STT, STJ and BVI in the middle of January and I cried my eyeballs out whenever we were loading the plane to come back home. I know people had to be looking at me wondering why I was crying so hard. I just didn't want to leave............ I'll be back though. You can count on it.

My wife and I are missing STJ also. We have been back 3 years in a row and am sorry to say that due to some health reasons we will not be going this year. And due to some financial reasons we are having to sell our timeshare at the Westin. We absolutely love it there but we need to take a couple of years off and get our lives back in order. On December 8th I will be standing outside of my Kansas City home looking around, wondering, why the heck am I here? There's no sand, no blue water, the water will probably be too hard to swim in.....

Jenn,
I feel the exact same way! So much in fact that I"m going back down in for two weeks at the end of Sept. One week all by myself (can't wait to get away from everything), then my mom and some friends are flying down to join my the second week. I loved it there so much that I'm thinking of moving next summer. Will be looking for a roomate! Interested?

Berlingirl- Thanks, but I am at a loss as to what to do these days. I guess I should just sell the timeshare and stop thinking about a return trip for a couple of years. Hopefully when things get turned around for us then we can come back for some fun times again. The webcam at www.gotostjohn.com is killing me!!
