I am staying in Cruz Bay on St. John. I will be taking the ferry from St. John's to St. Thomas and then catching a 9:00am flight at Charlotte Amalie. Will I have enough time to get to the airport and go through customs if I leave on the first ferry?

Thanks!

If you take the 6am ferry, you will be fine.

You will only have one hour at the airport.

By the way it is St. John, not St. Johns

If they take the 6 am boat they should get to the airport around 7, which will leave them 2 hours. Even if the boat leaves late, as it sometimes does, I would estimate that they will be at the airport by 7:30

Thank you for all of your help. I greatly appreciate the feedback. I think we will chance it and take the 6:00am ferry to
make that 9:00 am flight. It is on a Saturday morning so hopefully it will not be as busy as a Sunday morning might be.

Saturday tends to be the busiest flight day.
Some tips:
When you land head over to the gate area and pick up your customs form. That way you can have it filled out and ready to go when you depart.
Print your boarding passes the day before.
If the lines are really long at customs, grab a porter. They will help you through the process quickly.
If you only have carry on, you will get to go through the carry on only security, which we found very quick

Excellent idea about completing the custom forms ahead of time. Thanks!
