Hi
I am hoping to back it back down to St Thomas for a short visit in either early October or mid November. I have stayed at the Frenchmen's Morningstar but looking for something a bit cheaper if I can. But I can rule out Best Western near the airport due to a bad experience there last year. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

Check out the Elysian...seen on another website $107/night. Nice resort close to Red Hook.

How much do you want to spend? Do you want to be near a beach? Do you need a kitchen? Do you want a resort setting, or just a place to sleep?

Hi Marty
Would like to be on the beach & close to town. Of course I know it will be costly. But just thought I would toss it out there. I don't really want to spend a lot of taxis nor do I want to rent a car. Best western near the airport is out as I had bad experience with them last year. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Bluebeard's Beach Club. From the shoreline it's one beach east of Morningstar.

Yeah, being on the beach near town limits your choices. Morningstar, Bluebeard's, Bolongo...after that you're getting a ways away from town. Even Bolongo is about 12-15 minutes to town by taxi.

Hi
Thanks to all that answer & any more that want to add. Yes you are right Marty I have limited myself to Morningstar since I don't want to pay a fortune in taxis fares. I found a good price well somewhat of a good price for air for November 13th but it finding the rooms at the Frenchmen's. They have a resort view & I know it over the driveway & other part of resorts none being great & I am sure it is noisey. Don't really save that much between a Resort View Vesus a Gardenview at Morningstar which I prefer so I might as well bite the bullet before air goes up yet again.
Thanks for all y'all help.
