Here's a good sale for those in the Fort Lauderdale area:

January 18 FLL to STT for $8.00

Return

February 6 STT to FLL for $8.00

or January 30 STT to FLL $44.00

or Return to FLL Mon - Thurs January through February 13 for $88.00

CruzBayB:

Yes. $8.00 each way.....plus tax & inspection fees, of course.

If you are flexible...that means $16.00 Round Trip plus (I believe) $60.50 taxes & fees...or $76.50 total

Regards,

Yes, and in some cases you can get from other airports to Ft Lauderdale for $8 - so $16 to STT (plus tax). You do have to work to coordinate dates and times.

Wooooo Hoooooo!

My husband, daughter and I are making an unplanned visit to STJ in February, thanks to Spirit Air. It ended up costing 96.00 RT for each of us ..... we are using a bump voucher and FF miles to get us from Rochester, NY to FLL. I hope we can find a similar deal for our planned trip in September....not paying over $500.00 per ticket leaves more money to spend on villa, shopping and other fun things. :).......mia

Mia:

Be sure to sign up for Spirit's sale notices. In August we got a buy one get one free deal that we used in Sep. The cost from NJ to STT translated into $143. round trip.

Future Islander,
Thanks for the information. I have recently signed up for the Spirit Air email alerts and I will surely pay close attention. Congratulations on snagging such a great fare. We were on STJ in Sept. too; we paid over $500.00
for each of three tickets.
My husband is a Million Mile Flyer with United which is partnered with USAir, they try everything possible to foil any and all attempts to use the FF miles. It is nice to know that there are reasonable fares out there to be found.....mia

I too am a million miler, but with Continental. I have had good luck with CO, especially out of NJ.

However, rather than use miles, I watch for specials like Spirit has. I figure that a mile is worth the equivalent of 1 cent each. Travel to the Caribbean costs 35,000 miles (or $350.00). When Spirit charges $143. R.T. I take them.
