My bf and I are thinking of heading to STT for a 5 day vaca in April - We are in the 30 year old range - do you think that the Point Pleasant Resort is a good place for us? ANY advise is extremely helpful!!

We were there in December and went by Point Pleasant. I thought it looked a little run down. Here is the place we stayed and loved. www.harmonysuite.com

I assume you are looking for a "lively" place. If you like to drink, I might suggest an all-inclusive plan. Bolongo Bay is a younger crowd (lots to do). Wyndham Sugar Bay is also great. The only thing about all-inclusives is that you aren't real motivated to leave the resort, and there's so much to see at STJ and STT.

Just depends on what you like/want to do.

Great snorkeling right there on the beach, great view, great restaurant and not far from Red Hook should you want to go to other restaurants and/or take the ferry to St. John

My boyfriend and I are in our late 20's we live in Pineapple Village located 3 miles east of Red Hook we have a studio avaiable for rent for vacation. It has a queen size bed, full bath, small kitchenette, and a private patio, it is 150 steps from Water Bay beach and 150 steps from the complex pool. It is about a 3-5 minute walk to Coki Beach (a popular beach on St. Thomas with little bars and great snorkeling) It is easy to catch a safari or cab to Red Hook. Red Hook has 11 resturants and bars and is a great place to hang out for 30'somethings. The hotel that is directly next to the complex is closed right now, but there are three restuarants in walking distance from the studio. We are happy with where we live, it is nice to be on the beach during the day and a 2-3 minute drive be in Red Hook for the night. If you are interested or need more advice feel free to email us.

Good luck,
Annelies and Gary
