Rob: The thread you were reading indicated that public nudity is illegal. If you want to experience a nude beach, plan a vacation to St Martin. But enjoy your beach hopping experience!

Little Magens is far off to the right of Magens if you are looking out to sea. You will have to go over the rocks to access it from Magens. Probably a half mile or so. Best of luck!

I realize this is an old thread but I did go to this beach during my visit this month. (April 2008)

There is no land access to this beach. You either have to swim-walk (staying away from the shoreline rocks) the quarter-mile distance from Megan's Beach or take a boat.

Once there, you'll find a pic-nic table, barrel to leave your trash in, an abandoned catamaran, and maybe a set of foot-prints. The beach is a decent sized private beach, secluded from view from Megan's Beach but there are a couple homes high overhead that have a view of this beach.

All in all, not much to speak of on this visit. Just an okay little beach that is very hard to get to, making it not worth the trip unless you are very committed to accomplishing the promise of only partial privacy.

Nudity is illegal here...no matter which beach you use (and, guys, topless in town is against the law, too...$25 fine)...although on some it is accepted/not enforced (such as Little Magens/Platform). I had a friend that got married on Platform...the ugly, naked, white guy with the pierced ding-dong didn't bother them at all...but, as with most nude beaches, the ones that are there with no clothes on are the ones that you wish would put their clothes ON!

I didn't inspect it very closely, but, yeah, he had 'bling on the thing'! (ouch!!)

I got a kick out of watching peoples reactions at Orient on St. Maarten, the ones that didn't read up on what kind of beach it was before they came, lol. The best was a comment from a young boy about 10, out in the water with his mom when a 60 yr old man strolls by in his birthday suit. "Mom, his penis is hanging out! " The wife and I were cracking up as the mom was trying to shield her sons burning eyes, lol.
