Ginger:

I take it your from NJ?

There is only one non-stop from Newark - Continental. We've used this one several times.

Have you considered Atlantic City (ACY)?

Last week our trip to STT cost $89. each way + taxes, total $231. R/T on Spirit. We did need to connect in Ft. Lauderdale, but the airline was on schedule. By December Spirit is expected to have an all new AirBus 300 fleet. The flight was very comfortable. A business associate is going down next week for $99. + taxes.

You'll need to wait for their sales. Get on their e-mail list.

Parking at ACY costs $5./day and is very convenient to the terminal building. Actually, I parked in the second row (the first row is reserved for handicaped patrons).

that is a good tip...actually we are in new york but good tip to consider ac for that and other destinations
meantime
from such a big city as new york to all of a sudden stop all the later flights (used to be three or four a day on american non stop)is strange...
going through san juan and miami is always an option but annoying

i would rather just get booked early and take the one non stop in the morning
coming home the flight is at 140 used to love taking the six pm flight having the whole day in st thomas!

maybe another airline will pick up the slack..
