*I am currently living in the states and had a conversation with someone who said that the Virgin Islands has it's own "official". Ex. Jamica has reggae and Trinidad - calypso.

Is this true? If so, what is it.

If I'm not mistaken, the Jamaican government in 1964 declared ska to be the official music. Don't know about the USVI.

As East Ender says, it's Quelbe. The best known artists are Jamesie & Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights.
