Hubby & I are going to STT from STX (where we live) for one day, to meet friends for lunch who will be on a cruiseship docking at Havensight. Our friends said they'd treat us to lunch. Not being all that familiar with STT, I'm looking for suggestions, prefereably someplace within walking distance or a quick taxi ride from Havensight, for lunch. Any suggestions? Thanks.

We have always enjoy Cuzzin's Downtown. It has a selection of local food including shrimp, chicken, stews, curries and mutton, fresh veggies and lots of great side dishes to select. It will take a taxi to get you down town Charlotte Amalie. But it is not a long trip. The Fat turtle at the new Yacht Club is good too--but no real local flavor. Open air--pizza and burgers. Have a great time.

Delly Deck in Havensite or Shipwreck across the street - maybe Pizza Amore a bit up the road.

I would go for Wikked! as another poster suggested. It's within walking distance of the ships, it's on the water, and they have a varied menu. Delly Deck is strictly American food and there's no view. Cuzzin's is good if you want them to sample local food. It would also be a good choice if they (and you!) want to see downtown St Thomas.

Just looked up Wikked's website. Checked out their menu selection. Looks like this might be the place. The couple we're meeting on the cruise, lived on STX 6 years ago for many years. Is Wikked within walking distance of Havensight? If so, how far? Or should we take a cab? They are an older couple and I'm not sure what their "mobility" is. i.e. walking for any distance. Any additional input will be appreciated.

Wikked is well within walking distance by most everyone's mobility capabilities - a nice, short stroll. Wikked is in the Yacht Haven Grande marina complex.....pretty much adjacent to Havensite.

I love Glady's as well but if they're just looking for a relaxed meet-old-friends-for-lunch-and-catch-up kind of thing......I'm thinking keep it simple and stroll on over to Wikked. See those fine boats in the harbor, nice food, cool drinks and enjoy your company.
