Hello everyone!

As some of you know, I've been checking out this board for MONTHS in anticipation of my first trip to the VI's. We are staying at Secret Harbour and traveling with another couple (best friends of ours). Have rented a midsize car thru Hotwire for a total of $204. I am finally going to start packing TODAY! Have waited for this moment for so long. I have starved myself for months too, to get ready for this trip haha! I have made my packing list, have printed up PAGES of stuff from the internet and this message board, and I am PSYCHED!

ANYHOO, I have a somewhat stuped question. If I am wearing flip flops (or sandles) while traveling, do I still have to take them off to go thru security? I hate the thoughts of stepping thru security barefooted, and someone has mentioned to me that if you have on flip flops, you don't have to remove them. Just thought I'd ask - I know someone here will have an answer for me!

thanks! 🙂

Hey, MG, I suprisingly got some pretty good pics with my cheapy disposable underwater camera! I had one with the little rubberband thing (technical term, lol) attached to it and i slipped it around my wrist and it was there when i needed it but out of my way just dangling while i snorkeled. I got pics of the turtles we swam with at Caneel and a couple of absolutely awesome starfish pics from the same place! I wouldn't trade anything for them and they were mine for the low, low price of $9.99, hahaha! Don't try to take a pic of anything toooo far away and you'll be pleased enough with the pics...

I have never had a problem with my underwire bra. As far as taking off shoes at Washington Reagan National Airport they have somelike what surgeons wear. I always wear sneakers & socks. Never know what you might step on. I normally go through Security fine but husband get the pat down but maybe that because I ask the security guys to do it ok so I know a few of them 😉

MG,

We are getting married on Sapphire Beach. Although we do have something planned every day, not day long events. We'll have a lot of laying around on beach time, only problem is, SOOOOOO many beaches, only 8 days.

We are planning at least one day on St John, and it appears we'll be using the local transportation system on STJ since we could not find a car to rent for a day, but it will all be part of the experience 🙂

We are renting a boat one day, going to go hit some of the Cay's around STJ and STT. Wednesday is definitely downtown day for the carnival, and a day cruise to BVI on daydreamer I believe.

We have been fake baking for a month, something I swore we I'd never do (check) 🙂 got our neat sheet (check), got our dry bags (check), Avon SSS tanning lotion / bug repellant (check) - all of the wonderful items that were mentioned here that we thought we could use we have.

We are easy going not to hard to please kind of people, so I am sure we are going to have such a GREAT time !

ONE more FULL work week !

We have decided NOT to make our own Pain Killers, but to wait until we get there so we can get the full effect 🙂

C & S

We heard about it on here, and ordered one off E-Bay. It's a light-weight, micro-fiber, sand resistant blanket for the beach. It even has small weights built into the corners. One blanket is big enough for two people to lay on.

Sounds like you're ready to go! We've also packed all the items you mentioned. Got my Neat Sheet thru drugstore.com, but we'll only need it for one day, on STJ, and maybe not then since Trunk Bay has chairs there. Oh well. I am 90% packed right now! Most all my clothes I've fit into a carryon, but the checked luggage will have my snorkel gear, all the extra shoes, the neat sheet, beach towels etc. and hubbies extra clothes (he's a big guy - not all his clothes will fit in his carryon, he has also packed different trunks for each day, different "island" shirt for each day - he's worse than me rolling eyes ) We haven't planned as many things as you have, but we will only have 6 full days there, altho we arrive before 1:00pm, so that's almost a whole day! My travel girlfriend came over last night as we went over our packing list and shopping list for snacks/drinks etc once we're there. Drank a few drinks with some coconut rum. My friend had never had it before! so now she knows what to drink other than marquaritas all night!

and now if my college student will just keep out of my STT cash stash! geez, can't he just go hungry for a couple weeks??
