I will be cruising to STT with my extended family in August. I was looking to personally rent one of the open air vehicles similar to the ones that are used for taxis while in port. I have done similar several years ago in STJ and see that some companies still do such there. However, my limited internet search has come up empty as far as companies that rent the vehicles in STT. Does anyone know of any companies in STT? I realize that we can hire such a vehicle with a driver for the day, however, we were looking to rent the entire vehicle ourselves. Thanks for your help.

So you want the Safari Bus without the driver? Maybe I am misunderstanding you.... if that is what you are looking for, I doubt highly that you will be able to do this. Otherwise, I recommend Airforce 1. I can post the link if you are interested.

Yes, the "safari bus" without the driver is what I am looking for. As I said, you can rent them in STJ, but I have not been able to find any such company in STT that does similar. Anybody??

I don't know any local safari owners who would trust a tourist with the tool of their livelihood. The liability issues alone would be challenging. Why do you object to having a driver cater to your group?

I don't want to be on the roads anymore if they start renting Safari Trucks to tourists - if they rent them on STJ - why not rent it there and barge it over?? Just give us fair warning.
