It dawned on me today that I had forgotten to book a rental car a couple of months ago when I booked our February 17 trip to St. John. We usually book with Conrad Sutton but they have nothing left. The man at St. John rentals said that I was too late and that I most likely was out of luck finding a car at all because I should have booked 6 months ago. (He seemed somewhat pleased to deliver that news but maybe that was my imagination). I called a few others with no luck then called Paris. They had one Sidekick left so I booked it. I don't remember seeing them in Cruz Bay before. I checked the archives and see no recent complaints. Patsy , the person who took my reservation was very pleasant and gave me a confirmation number for our reservation. I am so relieved that we found something but we travel with our 2 boys and I want to be sure that we have a safe vehicle. Any feedback on Paris would be be much appreciated.

Julie,

We rented through Paris 12/22-12/29. Everything was fine. As you found, Patsy was very pleasant and the car was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. They are located in a trailer down a side "street" just past the Texaco station. I had read some less than flattering reviews, but our recent experience was very satisfactory. Just carefully go over the existing damage before you leave and make sure they note it. We also delivered the car back as clean of sand as we could since they seemed to make a big deal out of returning it clean. We got it with 1/4 tank of gas and returned it with the same. No problems. They even gave us a ride to Mongoose Junction when we returned the car since we weren't leaving immediately and it was pouring out. Don't worry.

We also rented with them on our last time in St. John (I couldn't remember the name, but it was in a trailer on the side street). Like you, we didn't book ahead of time, so were lucky to find this agency. We didn't have any trouble with them.
