Hi again. We rented a car for our trip to St. Thomas. If we wanted to catch a ferry from St. Thomas to St. John and did not want to take our car to St. John, is there parking at Red Hook for us to leave our car behind? If so, is it paid parking and how much does it cost? Thanks.

You will spend more in taxicabs on STJ than you will save over not taking the car...I'd recommend taking the car. The parking in RH is atrocious these days...once the new plaza opens then there will be plenty of parking, but there isn't now...along the road parking is free...but good luck with that...can't park in any of the lots like Duffy's...but you can get a parking pass to park in the garage next to Molly Malone's...but you hafta go to the marine office to get it and it's $10...soooo, $10 parking + taxi fares for the day = lots more than the $42 r/t cost, including the people in the car. JMHO.

There is a parking lot up behind Marina Market. The cost is $2 an hour.

The VI Port Authority parking lot at the RH passenger terminal is $10.00 ALL DAY. Usually spaces are available. Depends on your arrival time.
