I've been browsing around here for a while, but only posted a few times. We are getting married in St. Thomas on April 17th and staying at the Grand Bay Palace for 5 days with our guests. Then we are going over to St. John for a week and Virgin Gorda for a week and staying in villas. So far we have looked into renting a car in St. John, and I definitely want to try renting a boat of some kind for a day in Virgin Gorda. Please help.... give me any ideas you have of fun things to do, things not to be missed, "must do" activities, "must see" beaches, ANYTHING is greatly appreciated. We love any and all activities, especially water related. We look forward to cooking some of our own meals, but also dining out every now and then. I want our honeymoon to be the best and I don't want to miss a thing!!! By the way, our villa in St. John is by the Westin, and our villa in Virgin Gorda is by The Baths.

My Wedding/Honeymoon is in June and am staying at a villa for 10 days on St. John. My advice would be to do as much research as you can online as well as buy a guide book of some kind for the Virgin Islands (both U.S. & BVI) There is so much information available online about these wonderful islands. Pictures galore as well on http://www.webshots.com/ from people who have visited the islands. The activities that we have planned for our trip include: snorkling, visiting the Baths on Virgin Gorda, snubaing, parasailing, hiking, beach bumming, kayaking, renting jet skis, visiting Buck Island in St. Croix....there is so much to do I'm sure you won't have a problem making it the best trip/honeymoon ever.

If you want I have a list of websites that I have used for cross referencing activities in and around St. John - just let me know if you would like them.

Hello Maddy and Diane, Congrats to both of you!!!

Diane - just wanted to know - are you staying overnight on St. Croix?

Maddy, as mentioned lots to do. Here are some suggestions. On St. Thomas - do an island tour and check out the regular "tourist spots" they are worth seeing even if busy like Drakes Seat, Mountain Top, Blackbeards Castle... if you are up for walking spend one day walking around the historical sites in Charlotte Amalie and shopping a bit then the afternoon cooling off at the beach -maybe Magens Bay, try snorkeling at Coki Beach. If you are on island on a Wednesday try Paradise Point Happy Hour. If you are on island on a Sunday head to Sapphire in the afternoon for live music by a local band. Try dinner at Blue Moon Cafe and Banana Tree Grill. Local food you might try Cuzzins in town. You might also try some parasailing, diving ect. On St. John do an island tour, visit Annaberg, hike the Reef Bay trail, visit Cinnamon Bay and the ruins/trail, visit Trunk Bay, Hawksnest, Maho Bay. For snorkeling try Waterlemon and Lameshur as well as Trunk and Cinnamon Bay. Come back over to St. Thomas for Carnival events if you are still around the USVI - you can view the events schedule in our events calendar - click on local events in the drop down for General Guide at the top of this page. Ahhhh lots to do and enjoy. A good guide for the USVI and BVI is Explore the Virgin Islands and you might also pick up some of the St. John Guide books - check out the Vacation Planning section of http://www.vitraders.com for lots of great planning guides and books.

Have a wonderful time.

No not staying overnight on St. Croix - at least no plans yet. Buck Island is something that we would like to do but not sure if we will have time to do this. We already have alot of activites planned for our 10 day stay. But I'm sure if we don't see it this time around we will come back and stay on St. Croix.....maybe for our 5yr or something.

Hello Diane,

Thats why I was asking. You said you were doing Buck Island and that would require either a long ferry ride or a short seaplane ride over and back from St. Thomas; seemed like a lot of work for a day trip. But if you were going to go for a 2 days and a night - would definately be a great idea. In any case have a great time and have fun planning!!

Thank you so much for your tips! It's so overwhelming and there isn't much time left for the planning. I will definitely use your suggestions!
