Thinking of moving to St. Thomas. Which is the hottest Reggae on-air radio station? Who is the party promoter to know who would hire me to do concert/dance-hall/business commercials? I give thanks for your information.

Best you post this on the relocation forum (link above right) and also read all the general information about moving here which you'll find on the VIMovingCenter (link top of this page which will also link you to the relocation forum).

breaking into local voice work is not impossible, but local promoters and ad agencies generally go with people they know. i recommend a pre-move visit (stt resident's suggestion to check the relo board is very sound!) to see the lay of the land, introduce yourself to some media people, and attend a few events which you will find listed in the local weeklies.

same goes for breaking into radio - by the way, on air staff do not earn the amounts that you may expect in even smaller markets stateside...

here is a listing of bvi and usvi radio outlets that stream online... take the time to familiarize yourself with them over time... and check different dayparts as they can vary greatly in terms of material:

good luck!
