Traveling to St. John in May 2011. Looking for a dependable Jeep rental that will pick up & drop off at ferry, has parking available in Cruz Bay, reasonably priced. Anyone have suggestions?

All car rentals are within a 2-5 minute walk of the ferry.

Parking at the ferry dock is horrible so most companies require you to come to them. Once you see the dock area, you will completely understand this. There is a lane for the bus and room for maybe 3 cars. With so many people coming off the ferry, there is just no room.

I highly recommend STJ Car Rental. They are about a 2 minute walk, have parking, and are very reliable.

L&L is dependable, reasonably priced and meets you at the Cruz Bay passenger ferry at your arrival and departure. They do NOT have parking in town though. Not a problem for us as we have only visited during high season once. We also tend to spend more time at the beach and villa and not in town too much.

We have had good, friendly service from Cool Breeze. Just a 2 minute walk from the ferry, and a couple of parking spots available after hours.

Hospitality Car Rental, directly across the street from P.O. ask for Tommy, have rented from him for years, best rates on the island, he does not have website, he only has good vehicles. You always have a place to park when in town and you can get the best smoothies there with your choice of cruzan rum.

Plus you will be renting from someone on STJ, they need the business too.
