Hi, my sister and I will be going to St. Thomas at the end of the month and staying at Secret Harbour Resort. I'm wondering if anyone can give us any info about the place; we have an oceanfront room, and there are not pics on the internet for this room; also looking for close grocery store. We are close to Red Hook by the Ferry on the East end of the island and do not have an all inclusive plan so are looking to buy some food and drinks. Also, any suggestions on some really fun spots to go out partying or things not to miss?
Thanks for any info.

The units at Secret Harbour are all individually owned, so they are all similar in lay-out, but decorated differently.

There are two grocery stores close by- Marina Market for any produce, meat, fish and Food Center for basic supplies. Both are easy to find when you get here.

Fun places close by: If you like music- Latitude 18 Thursday through Saturday for the Fiddler. Cariga's at Bottom's Up is having some bands, but is cheap and local if you just want to go for a drink or meal.

Red Hook has lots of choices, depending on your desires. New wave sushi: Lotus Grill. Good food and drinks- Molly Molones or Amigos (brand new Mexican) upstairs. East End Grill and the Cellar for something a bit more upscale. Island Time for pizza. Of course, the infamous Duffy's... You can park in Red Hook and wander 'til you find your kind of entertainment.

Don't miss Robert's at the Elysian (great piano bar!) and Ainsley's on the beach there.

You will find Blue Moon easily.

Have fun! 😎

for more shopping you might go to TuTu and go to plaza extra. It is about 3 miles from red hook, five from Secret Harbor..

Enjoy the water at Secret Harbor - not a lot of boats to get in the way and a good place to learn to snorkel if you don't already know how. Wish we were headed down as well rather than facing another snow storm.

We stayed there in 2001. It was nice having a quiet beach with very few people. The snorkeling was good then on the right side. We ate at Blue moon and also went to red hook. We liked Molly Malones and Carabbean Steak hous in Red Hook. We had drinks one night at Duffy's Love Shack. Make sure you take the Ferry over to St. John from Red Hook for a day or two at the beachs or just for an evering meal.

Secret Harbor needs an update. Hope you don't get a unit that hasn't been updated. The exterior needs major updating. So many nicer places to stay on island I think than here.

Tippi: Do you have some specifics, especially on the exterior?

I had a friend who visited St Thomas recently and complained about several condominiums built in the 70s and 80s that "they need to be torn down." Kinda hard to do with concrete block!8-) But it is the American way, isn't it? Out with the old, in with whatever the new mauve is! 😉

I find Secret Harbor to have well tended grounds, clean public areas, friendly staff, wonderful beach and water and no major flaws in the exterior maintenance. The individual rooms and units are privately owned and there may be a few that are in need of an update? - I think the staff would move you to a different unit if you were dissatisfied.
Overall I see it as well kept for an older property and quite charming as a unique property.

I stayed there this past Nov. And 2 years ago. I agree with exit zero. I felt comfortable leaving my daughter alone on the beach while I went diving. All ways found the rooms well kept. Beautiful beach and protected bay. There may be nicer places, but, all in all. I lov the place

If I were visiting St Thomas I'd stay at Secret Harbour. I've had 2 family members stay there. One was a very critical daughter_in_law, Thanksgiving this past year, and she had no complaints. 🙂 Is planing next trip! 🙂
