I've heard that St. John requires that villa names be registered/approved. How does one do that? Thanks!

I believe that falls under the Lt Governor's office. Give them a call.

There's is no "law" that you have to register/have your name approved on St. John - you can name it what you want (there are several instances on St John with a villa having the same name as another villa).

The confusion to this, if you will, comes if you want to put the villa in the rental market then you need a business license - many people use the villa name as their Trade Name and Business Name and then you would have a problem as the name will have already been registered - not to mention it is not a good idea having two villas in the rental market withe the same name

Hope this makes sense

Pia
