We are moving to St. Croix around Aug or sept. We are in the process of forming our corporation in the islands. I am looking for a Resident Agent. Also we are either going to be buying a business or starting one, any suggestions on what would be a unique business for the island that you would like to see in the area of Christiansted?

In 2012 the VI Public Services Commission filed suit against the company seeking forfeiture of the franchise and past due monies but if or how that was resolved I don't know. I'm sure if you contacted a local lawyer you'd be able to find out pretty quickly.

i did see the lawsuit and just wondering why there is still no ferry service after all these years...I saw that they had an "exclusive" franchise for 5 years...plus funding for the setup. what a racket!

thinking of moving to st croix but really wondering about supplies and such. having lived in hawaii and been at the mercy of the airlines I am a bit concerned and just wondering what if anything is happening on that. good suggestion about contacting an attorney sure cant find anything more recent on the internet about it.

The ferry service has been operated by many different operators over the years and every one has failed. There simply isn't the demand to make it fiscally viable. St Croix is 40 miles away from STT/STJ over open, deep and often rough sea. The ferries have been known locally as, "Barfe Barge" and "Vomit Comet".

There is regular air service between the mainland and St Croix and STT/STX, and getting supplies on STX is no more of a problem than getting supplies on STT.
