Hi All and good to be here on this forum. My wife and I are, at last, relocating to STC early next year. Although the internet and publications are a good source of information, there is nothing like actually corresponding with others.
We would like to know a few things about STC. My wife will be working at Juan Luis Hospital, so we need to know the best areas close bye to look for a long term rental and areas to avoid. Know of any reputible Realtors/Propert Managers?
Also, any tips on who to use for shipping our household goods from Florida would be great! There are so many companies out there and it's hard to see which ones are good and which aren't.
Is there a daily ferry (or other method) between STC and STT?
Thanks for your time in advance, Islanders!
Jack

At the very top of this page you'll see a link to "VIMovingCenter" where you'll find tons of relevant information about moving here as well as an active forum.

For the benefit of visitors who often ask the question about transportation between STX and STT there is an off-again on-again rather unreliable ferry between the two islands (see ferry schedule in the quick links above right) but it's a long ride over often rough water and is known locally as the "Vomit Comet" or "The Barf Barge". The recommended mode of transportation between the two is by air.

And, for the most part, people do not do a daily commute between the 2 islands, too expensive.

I wasn't looking to commute every day! Just wondering if there was a ferry every day or not.

Asof today, no. Only one 3-4 times a week.
