rent a sailboat for a full day???

Is there anyway to rent a sailboat for a day and captain it yourself? We are experienced sailors and would love the freedom to sail around the beautiful islands ourselves.... We have rented bareboats before, but never a sailboat.

Is this a bad idea because of the coral? If so, are there any boats to charter with a captain that would navigate and let us take the helm and "play" a little on the excursion?

yes its possible... go to cyc in compass point... you might want to call first because im not sure what they might require??? i kinda remember that they need a letter of reference from a licenced captain?

Check with Captain Omar- he advertises on VINow.com; has "Captain Only" rates for a day- you sail the boat but he is there with you for help and navigation. Phone him at 340-690-8228.
