I have read a lot about restaurants on STJ that require reservations. Just wondering, do I need to do that in advance of my arrival or during the day of the evening we want to dine? Just wondering how things work down there.
We will be there Oct 3-12.
thanks

We have found that the day before or that morning seems to work fine.

You'll be there towards the end of hurricane season, so things won't be busy at all. At that time of year you can pretty much walk into most places without a reservation and be seated. Most places will be open, but some will be closed. Not a bad idea to have trip insurance at that time of year.
