Coming to St John Sept. 17, for 8 nights. I am looking to hit as many of the well known Bars and restaurants feasibly possible. Although Foxy's is not part of the USVI it was on my to do list. I called them and they are closed Aug 20 till the week before Halloween. Can anyone tell me what other "popular" restaurants and bars in STT & STJ that will be closed the week that I am there? I am sure that I will have a great time even if I am making sandwiches on the beach but I would prefer to spend a little cash in any good joint that is open.
Thx.

I was on STJ once in September and Chateaux Bordeaux was closed for the season.

Thx Bluewater for the info. I hope that there is only a smattering of closed bars and restaurants and not a wholesale shut down during the August thru October season. I'm hoping that if the restaurants on STJ close, that they only do it for a week or two and that they overlap their closing times. Logic would tell me that this is the case. I know that "Brandywine" on Tortola, at that time, is closed for the season. Is that the norm for restaurants and bars in the USVI and BVI, to close for several weeks or months during the slow season?

Some places will close for a couple of weeks, some will close for over a month and some won't close at all. Plenty of places will be open, but some places that you've read about may be closed. Just go and see, stay flexible, enjoy wherever you end up.
