Have either of the restaurants re-opened? And if so, has anyone eaten at either one, and could you share your experience?

I heard that they would open the old Ainsleys first and follow later with the old Roberts. Not sure who will have the gig for the pool bar but was told East End Boys (all the BlueX restaurants and Cellar and Pesce among other area restaurants) will be operating both, and that Ainsleys will be more of a lobster "shack" than a hamburger joint. But I'm in Virginia so what I hear comes a long way and may not be accurate. I am very interested tho in what does finally happen -- we'll be back on the Elysian Beach next year for 10 days.

The place where Ainsley's is is open now...I think it's called Lobster Shack or something of the sort. They do have pizzas and supposedly the food is good. The restaurant to replace Robert's is supposed to be open by beginning of season

I received this info from a user on another board.

He received the following reply from President John Pittman yesterday;

Sangria’s formerly known as Ainsley’s re-opened on Friday, September
23rd serving casual lunch and dinner. This mainly includes burgers,
sandwiches, salads, and pizza. Within a week or two they will also
serve breakfast. Caribbean Fish Market, formerly Robert’s is
scheduled to re-open mid to late November in addition to the pool bar
and gift shop. We are happy to be able to report this to you.

More on Sangria’s... they are open everyday, serving B, L and D. Right now dinner is until 9pm but closer to season they will stay open until 10pm.

And Caribbean Fish Market, they are doing renovations right now, aiming for opening first week of December.

We just returned from ST. Thomas for our daughters wedding. We had her reception for 30 people at Sangria's and it was fabulous!! WE had a buffet set up, with several selections and everything, including the service was the best. I would highly recommend them for any meal....any occasion. Can't wait to go back there. The drinks were good too!
