Heading to STT next week and we're staying at the Ritz, even though the pocketbook can't afford the Ritz. It looks like Latitude 18 is located within walking distance to the Ritz, either via the road or possibly by walking along Vessup Beach. Would this be safe to do? Just trying to figure out where we could go via walking/taxi and which days to rent a car.

If you walk you may be part of the road forever!!!!!

Take a cab.

I tried that walk once at night and would suggest a cab. Walking that road seems much longer than it is when riding in a car. I gave up about 3/4 of the way there walked back to the apartment and took a cab.

Thanks everyone, I guess it sounds like this will be a Taxi destination.

That walk is no problem. My wife and kids made the walk twice. Stay on the Ritz beach as far north as you can. Cross through the bushes and across the road. Follow the shore until you see a trail. This comes out at Lattitude 18. You do not have to walk down the busy road. When you drive down the road to Lat 18 it is a mess. My wife had to ask a few taxi drivers (yesterday 4/5) before she found one to take her from Sapphire to Lat 18. Good food, fun place.

Thanks ptktochanny ! I was wondering about that beach route, since it looked accessible on Google.
