It's that time of year to ask about the Dining coupon book. Has it been published? If so, can someone let us know what restaurants have participated and what they are offering?

Thanks in advance.

I just had this same thought. Is it June or July it comes out?

There are two ways to get rotary books.

You can have them mailed to you. There is a sub in the back of the book and you pay I believe $2 more.

Or you can go to various locations around STT. Red Hook Mail Services, Home Again are two that I use.

I've not seen them for 2011 but there is a combination of two for one, appys, drinks etc.

They are good to 12/15.

Of course the Robert's and Ainsley's offers can't be used now since they're closed ...

we spoke to kevin.

He said that several factors came into play. They raised the rent. He never recovered from the loss of food from Earl.

Twisted Taco is still open as is BC.

I hope he comes to Sapphire Resort, IF EVER IT GETS ITS SHIT TOGETHER. 4 years is a long time.

He said that all his food was lost as the generator at the Elysian was down for mover three weeks. That is what he said.

Let me make one more comment about the rotary books. I will buy them because of the support they give to students. But I have seen these books go down in value over the last few years. Very few dinners, missing big name restaurants, nothing over by the airport etc.

Bill;, Hurricane Earl came through St Thomas on September 21, 2010, the power was out for only a couple of hours and there were no major disruptions whatsoever so the story you heard makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I do agree with you about the Rotary Books. Many of the regular contributors realized many years ago that they were losing money big time with the two for one dinner deal. A suggestion was presented to offer a "one dinner at full price and the second half price" but that was shot down and many restaurants opted not to continue or else offer 2 for 1 desserts as a compromise. It's nothing like it used to be, for true.

Not what Kevin said. He said water, not wind, go into the generator. I was not here so I don't know. I think it was more of rents going up that caused the situation.

regardless Robert's is closed.
