Best you post this in the classified forum or the relocation forum on this site, Hope you realize that the economical downfall has affected us most adversely and that, as bad as it us now, we haven't yet experienced the true brunt. Cheers!

No need to jump all over STT resident. This is the VInow travel board and filled with tourism related questions, there is a relocation forum on this site that would be able to help you. It is filled with people that live on island and have the information that you are looking for.

Also, many people come here and plan to move to the USVI blindly with no job and no clue. STT resident is very helpful to both tourists and locals alike and was just making sure that you were aware of the economic climate.

The relocation forum is a really helpful place and will give you a ton of info on places to live.

sainttommy/tycobuilders: I'm sorry you took umbrage and thank you, Xislandgirl, for clarifying. On the classified site there are a couple of ads for accommodations on STJ which would seem to fit your requirements.

Sorry, alot on my mind, i would like to explain myself, first off STT was helpful, and you too. I have lived and worked on the islands, i was away, i am in the navy, my active status ends in 6 weeks. I lived on St.Thomas for a year and half, crown mountain. Then STX for 8 months, i work as a construction supervisor. I have a job waiting for me near cruz bay, so i am looking for something close to cruz bay. I have only worked there, for several months. So i am going to search this website and see what i can come up with, So PLEASE forgive me i am sorry.

If you might know something of interest please let me know, thanks.

Tommy

This site is really not difficult to navigate. The forum you are now on is the VINow visitor forum.

If you go to the top of this page you will see a link saying, "Visit Relocation Message Board." Click on that and and three options will come up. The classified section is one of the three options and is what I directed you towards where there are some current STJ rentals posted. If what's currently posted doesn't suit, you can post your own want ad.

I've no problem with your being feisty. I've been a stalwart supporter of VINow and other related forums for a few years now and have had my opinions dunned.

I admittedly sometimes get a bit "testy" when people ask the same old same old basic questions over and over again when, if they just did some basic research on sites such as this, the answer is right at their fingertips,.

Good luck to you! Cheers!

I wish all the men and women of the Military had the opportunity as you to go to St. John. It is a wonderful place to go and debrief should I say. After war it is the best place in the world to be. I wish you well in your job and apartment hunting and if you get a job in Cruz Bay please tell and when Im there in end of September I will say hello. Good Luck to you and thanks again......
