Hi - we're Gene and Kathy from Cape Cod, MA - we'll be arriving Sunday (19th) for four nights at Secret Harbour. We were wondering if anyone on this board will also be there at that time and might be interested in sharing some cab rides to various places?
thanks!

Hope you have a wonderful visit! However, one thing to remember is that if you're looking to share a cab with some others to save on expenses, this won't work as the taxis here charge PER PERSON. If you go to "St Thomas" at the top of this page you can scroll down to the taxi rates which will give you an idea of costs. Cheers!

It might be cheaper to rent a car for 4 days, unless you plan on just chillin' on the beach at
Secret Harbour. If you add up all the times you would use a taxi, round trip, I am sure that
it would be cheaper to rent a car. 🙂

Elkenhausen - thanks, we considered that (and thanks STT Resident too - I think I knew that but forgot!). We have visited SH for the day off a cruise ship, plus visited STT and STJ many times off ships and also stayed for a week on STJ a couple years ago. Our plans (weather permitting - I'm a little concerned about the forecast but oh well...) include taking a snorkeling excursion through the dive center right at SH one day, going over to STJ and renting a vehicle there for the day to visit various beaches and other places, and then maybe just hanging at SH the other full day so we probably won't be needing a vehicle all that much. Maybe to go to dinner someplace other than the Blue Moon though. So it's kind of a toss up in terms of expense I think, renting vs. taxis. In any case - this is a good problem to have I think! ;~)
Can't WAIT to get to STT!!!!!

capefisherman - if you're worried about the weather because you're looking at forecasts which predict rain every day - STOP WORRYING!

Our normal daily forecast is 20-40% of rain which means that there will be a shower somewhere at some time but not everywhere all the time. Where I am there was a little bit of rain late last night/early this morning and a quick few drops around 10AM. Sunday and Monday there is apparently a 50% of rain and on Tuesday back to 20% - it's rarely that we get anything like a full day of rain and even a 50% forecast of rain means a 50% forecast of sun. Enjoy a great visit!

Not to worry about the weather. Cape Cod has been as bad as NH so far this summer. Nothing but rain with scattered sun every week or so. Enjoy St Thomas.
