13 more days and we'll be in STX.

Since this is the slow time of year, do any shops or restaurants close for the season?
If so, which ones?

Some of the Jewlery shop close as the owners work the Alaska cruise circuit.

Restaurants: Cultured Pelican is closed for the season. Villa Madelline closed for good. Probably a few others.

Don't worry there are plenty of good restaurants available and if you are only going to on STX for a couple of weeks you want have to repeat any of them unless you want to.
