I recently got married in St. John (7-6-07) and wanted to take minute to praise my wedding planner and caterer. I used Mary Bartolucci with Island Style Weddings and Mat Varchet with St John Catering. I can not say enough good things about either one of these individuals. I was a bit of a bridezilla to say the least during the planning process and Mary made it as simple and stress free as possible from day one. The wedding was perfect, and every detail that I wanted was there. I felt the prices were very reasonable for the services offered and trust me I did a lot of research before making any decisions. I traveled from North Carolina and everything went off without a hitch. The most amazing thing about Mary was the calming presence she had on the stressed out bride and groom the day of the wedding. We had 40 people down for the entire week. Mary helped the majority of our guests find accommodations. She also helped plan a Sunset Sail Welcome Party, Bachelor/Bachelorette Day outings, Rehearsal dinner and the wedding/reception which was at a private villa with a sit down meal. I do not have one complaint! That is impressive! Mat also catered a meal for the group another night during the week and every thing he made was phenomenal. My husband and I have already said we will have him caterer for us every time we are lucky enough to visit St. John. Of our 40 guests, there was not one person who didn't comment on how great the food was and what an amazing job Mary had done. Good luck to all you brides out there.
