Small boat rentals on St. John

We ( three people) are in the VI for one more day and would love to rent a small boat to beach hop tomorrow. The forecast is now for winds out of the southeast at 10-13 mph. Can anyone tell me if this will make beach hopping the north shore rough.
Thank you to everyone here for making our now third annual trip as wonderful as the first two. This is such a welcoming place to visit.

Hi Rebecca,
I see nobody responded to your request but I'm curious if you ended up renting a boat and, if so, how was it? My husband and I will be there next month and plan to rent a boat to beach hop like you. I'd love to hear your recommendations if you have time to respond.
