I'm getting ready to book tickets to STT tonight. Spirit seems to have the best prices by far, ~435 out of Washington Reagan. I'd prefer to fly out of Dulles but when booking 4 tickets, a little goes a long way and it seems to be more like $550 on other airlines. Just wanted to check that they are ok.

Thanks!
Keri

Hi Keri.

If you use the search function on this site you will find several recent posts from unhappy Spirit customers. This does not mean that everyone who uses Spirit is unhappy but it appears that Spirit has recently been discontinuing segments of some flights leaving vacationers in the lurch.

Spirit is an awesome airline, I've flown them a bunch of time. The only reason Spirit has been discontinuing segments is that they have been retiring old aircraft at the faster rate than acquiring new aircraft, so they have to temporarily discontinue some segments. It's a great airline, nonetheless.

I have flown Spirit many times for various trips through the years and have always been perfectly satisfied. I am happy to see that they service STT now. I recently used them for a trip to the states from STT and had no problems.

They have a sale going on now to STT, if you can fly in and out on a Tues or Weds. Fares are as low as $99 or $149 one way from several major airports around the country.

I have flown Spirit in and out of STT four times now. They started out a little slow with delays but seem to have settled in now. I love the new planes and the convenience of paying with debit card on board. Gives us a nice off island option of going to Florida for a couple hundred bucks to shop, relax and just get off the Rock.
They have also finally added a frequent flyer program which is nice.
