For all of you New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware & Northern Maryland folks.......

Spirit Airlines just posted a sale:

Atlantic City to STT: $139. Each Way Plus taxes/fees...good on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Total Cost: $278. + $62.30 (taxes & fees) = $340.30 (Round Trip)

I checked 3 dates: January 13 returning January 20, 2009; February 3 returning February 10, 2009; March 10 returning March 17, 2009. The fare was available on these dates as of 4:50 P.M. EDT on Dec. 3, 2009

Hurry the seats at this price won't last.

Hope this helps some of you that still haven't made up their mind.

Just checked American Airlines for similar dates. From STT (I live here) to JFK non-stop, direct flights leaving STT 1/28 returning 2/3 round-trip air was $319.30, compared to the same dates on Spirit (with layovers both ways in Ft. Lauderdale) which came to $391.30. So, it pays to shop around - happy travels, all!

The Spirit fare is $370.30 (you need to delete the insurance & $9 club fee). For STT to LGA.

The AA fare is lower to JFK.....good catch, Ann.

With the price of oil and gas dropping and the way the economy is going, I think we will see lower fares in the next few months. I saw $1.55 for a gallon of regular gas here in NJ yesterday.
