There are a few inns & guest houses in Cruz Bay that would work for a one night stay in St. John. Not familiar with any in Coral Bay.*-)

St. John visitors/residents... any suggestions for one night in Coral Bay?

There is an apartment called the Crows Nest which is located across the street from Skinny Legs (in Coral Bay). Go to the web site for Windspree Vacation Homes for information and available dates. The apartment sounds like what you may be looking for. We stayed there on a couple of ocassions and highly recommend it.

Hal: You didn't post a webste for Windspree but I did a google. Maybe you misread the "one night" question from the OP but I rather think that minimum 300 a night for Windspree properties might be a smidge overboard in this case, even if such is available?

I'm not as familiar with one-night STJ possibilities as is "Pia" a regular poster here. So, Pia, wherefore art thou? Tamarind Inn, other places?

I would also ask, Derek, why you want to stay on STJ for just one night when your base is going to be STT? If you check the ferry schedules (as in "Ferry Schedules" at the very top of this page and right underneath "WI Weather,") you will probably find that you can easily go back and forth or vice versa. Cheers!

There was an inn in Coral Bay---Shoreline Inn. I don't know for sure that they're still in business, but I had these #s:

340-715-0111
340-779-4429

There are a couple of inns in Cruz Bay:

http://www.stjohninn.com/

Some places have minimum stays but may be flexible depending upon time of year.

Here is the link for Windspree

http://www.windspree.com/

Their phone # is 340-693-5423.

I don't believe that there is a $300 per night min, more like $140 per night. Just trying to do my good deed as I have gotten a lot of good info from this message board over the years.

Most of the inns and such are closer to Cruz Bay, and depending on what time of year you stay, many have a two-night (at least!) minimum.

I'll do some more sleuthing to see if I can find anything that would work for you, but my first thought was the apartment that Hal recommended, as well.

Shoreline Inn is open, $99-$130 a night. The second number Lex gave works: 340-779-4429.

Here is another place you could check http://sailviewstjohn.com/.

well thanks everyone for the input but we just returned on dec 1 so we did not get any of your replies.the only reason we wanted to stay in stj for the night was to see a band play and the ferrries would't have been running that late after the show.
