Good Morning,

We are returning to the island for a two week vacation in April! Once again we are very excited and have a few questions.

On previous visits we have gone in June. This trip we will be there April 5-19. Is it crowded at this time of year? Are there any events going on?

Any recommendations for off island trips?

Any info would be great! Thanks!

Stayed in STJ last April and it was perfect. Everything was open, weather was great and people were lively. In addition to the north side beaches my wife and I went on a 1/2 day sail with Sail Safaris, Cruz Bay on a 16' Hobie Cat. It was exciting and a lot of fun, sailed over to Lovango Cay for snorkeling then back around the Durloe Cays to Cruz Bay. The Hobie Cat was surprisingly comfortable and the guide (Jason) was super. Google them up for the website.

I have been going to St John the first 2 weeks in April for 5 years. It is usually dry during the day with showers possible at night. The water is usually around 82 degrees. The northern swell is usually not a factor. A few times it was Easter week so it was a bit crowed. This year it should not be too crowded. I'll be there April 3 - 15.

We normally travel the last 2 weeks in April and it is our favorite time.
The water is warm and we have been lucky to have only a few days of random rain. The island is usually busy but not crowded.

If you are interested in an off island trip, I highly recommend Palm Tree Charters. Capt John is such a great guy and you ge the boat all day to do what you want. If you want to go to the Baths or snorkel all day or snorkel in the morning and hit Jost for the afternoon or whatever. You decide and he takes you.
