Last minute decision to go to either St. John or Tortola during 1st week of August. We are family of 4 (two teenagers) who love to just kick back, go to beach, snorkel, etc. but also like to shop a bit or at least have a few places to visit that are interesting (so kids are bored). Loved Virgin Gorda and was leaning toward St. John but would also like some feedback about Tortola. What are differences between two islands ... are beaches comparable ... any villa suggestions for Tortola.
Thanks.

The BVI Emancipation Festival runs from July 25-August 8, so if that interests you Tortola would be the place to be at that time.
