We enjoyed a great day on a power boat trip from St. Thomas to The Baths in Virgin Gorda, BVI,
to Marina Cay for lunch at Pusser’s restaurant, Guana Island for snorkeling and off to Jost van Dyke and Soggy Dollar Bar at White Bay. The boat was Breakaway from New Horizons Charters.

The morning started off with rain but gradually did improve. Here the seagulls try to catch up with us for breakfast.

Notice the flags as we stop to enter British Island territory where we must pay $20 and show our passports. At the end of our time in the BVIs we stopped back on land to clear customs and then went on our way by boat.

Some sun would have been nice, but we explored the Baths excursion on Virgin Gorda. Supposedly in the past there have been Sports Illustrated swimsuit photos shot here, but I can’t imagine the models crawling in and out of the rugged paths through the rocks.

We ate lunch at Pusser’s restaurant on Marina Cay (pronounced Key).

Legend has it that the delicious and potent cocktail the Painkiller was invented by bartenders at Jost Van Dyke’s Soggy Dollar Bar. The "true" Painkiller is made with Pusser's dark rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, orange juice -- and freshly grated nutmeg on top. We had to try them of course. Yikes were they strong!!!! I had the White Bay version made with light rum and was not as potent it seemed anyway. We had sprinkles of rain here so the beach doesn’t look as beautiful as if the sun were shining. There were a few primitive shops here.

A blow of the conch shell is we are all called to return to the boat.

This was a great day and thanks to Kevin our captain and Lindsey our first mate on Breakaway!

On the way home from the dock at Sapphire Beach, we stopped by a pottery place that had some cute artwork in the yard. Inside we bought a small water color print of Cinnamon Bay our favorite beach.

What a day! We clean up and venture to the Elysian resort's restaurant Bonnie’s on the Sea restaurant anticipating our last day in paradise.

Very nice, thanks. Wow, White Bay looks so rough. This must have been related ot the weather systems in the area when you were there.

The weather was rought that day - Wednesday last week I think. I actually am injured from being on the boat, being thrown upward from a wave and hitting corner of the table in the center of the boat. I think I have a bruised or cracked rib. Ouch!
