dianer,

It should depending on your luggage, flight delays, etc. If you carry on and the flight is on time you are fine. CA ferry is about 20 minutes away in bad traffic. Call them the day or so before and let them know you are coming. Might want to consider also hiring a private driver to pick you up rather than waiting for the mass taxis. A little more expensive but cheaper than missing the ferry 🙂

If I understand correctly, the CA ferry is not currently operating on Sundays.

Toes in the sand - It is the St. John (from CA) ferry that isn't operating right now. The original poster is heading to Tortola from CA and the Tortola ferries are good to go. 😉

Dianer - ditto Pamela's comment that you should make the 5:30pm ferry to Tortola if your flight arrives on time. Its a little over 2 miles from the airport to the BVI ferry terminal in Charlotte Amalie. There usually isn't much traffic on Sunday afternoons between the airport and downtown.
