I just received some mail that included a post from the local Daily News in their food section and was pleased to hear about some places that we found while there a year ago. Two are actually at or near Bolongo Bay Resort...so if anyone is staying there, please take heed! Dining at Mim's was a real surprise - since it is rather a hole-in-the-wall - but the food is great! The Beach House Restaurant at Bolongo was one of the best places we dined while on the Island and the food is absolutely superb (albeit expensive - but well worth the trip). The article was accurate in it's accolades of the chef de cuisine...Josh. Take the time to travel to Bolongo - and spend an hour or two after dinner to enjoy the fun at their beach bar, Iggie's. There is live music often - and the nights that Sammy Watts is there is really great!

Yeah! In 5 days we will be at the Watergate condos next to Bolongo and have never tried Mims, 12 years and many trips ago we ate at The Beach House and are happy to hear their food is still excellent! Iggies is just fun! and we can stagger home!! without getting behind the wheel. Thanks for the up-date.
