On our last trip to STJ in 2005, we had a wonderful meal at Margarita Phils. We have raved about it as the best meal we had all week. But from reading some more recent reviews on this forum and others, I am getting in impression that it is no longer what it used to be. Is it under new ownership? Any feedback is appreciated. We are heading back in June and don't want to go back there if we will be disappointed - there are lots of other great restaurants to enjoy! Thanks!

We went there in early Feb for dinner one night.
There were a total of 6 in our party
and we all had ONE each grande Margarita
Everyone enjoyed their food with ratings from very good to excellent
Serving Size was large to TOO Much
and the bill came it was $350
that is some expensive beans and rice
Make sure if you order today's special - you know what is cost
little sticker shock
paid the bill and waddled back to the villa stuffed
would I go back - absolutely
maybe the group would be a little more careful what we ordered
honestly it was not as good as I remembered from past trips, but it was awful good
