Is there still ferry service between STJ and JVD? If so, where the ferry drop you at JVD? The link in the Ferry Schedules (at the top of the page) doesn't direct to an actual schedule.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Thank for the info on Virgin Gorda...we should definitely consider it.

We are specifically looking for Jost Van Dyke...any suggestions?

Thanks for noting that the Jost ferry link isn't working. Its table is missing; so needs to be fixed. Thanks again.

To answer your question...

Yes there is still a STJ to Jost ferry. Has departures three times a week; Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Its operated by Inter Island Boat Service (340) 776-6597. Their answering machine message says the ferry departs STJ at 8:30am and departs from Jost at 3pm.

Thanks islander! We definitely want to include Jost on our trip this spring.

Do you know where on Jost the ferry drops you? Can we walk to places like Soggy Dollar or Foxy's?

Thanks again!

The ferry drops you at the customs house which is about a 5 minute easy walk to Foxy's, you just follow the ocean on the right and walk a short distance thru the "main" strip and then Foxy's is on your left. You can definately walk to Soggy Dollar and the other bar/restaurants however it would take probably 20-30 minutes depending how fast you walk, what kind of shape you are in as you have to walk up a very steep long hill, wind around a bend and then walk down the backside of the hill. We walked it a couple of times and it was pretty easy but you are definately winded when you reach the peak. You could always walk to Foxy's check out the other places then catch a cab from Foxy's to White Bay (where Sogggy Dollar is). I can't remember the cost of the cab but it was pretty cheap and Bun is awesome! Have a great trip and hope this helps. 57 days and counting until my toes are in the white sand beaches of JVD for a week! Jill
